Imagine a place....

A place where someone who wants to learn, can...

A place with the world's best and brightest can go to discuss, create and develop...

A place without geographical borders...

A place where all are welcome...

A place without the pressure of making money...

A place where we can learn from one another...

A place where we can agree to work together to discuss important topics for our world...

A place where we can help create a happy, productive and safe world for future generations...

Imagine that place being here.

The topics are many. The possibilities endless. How about we start with a simple one?

How can we change the K-12 school processes and procedures to help the students learn more?

Students today have the opportunity to communicate globally with others about topics of interest.

Many schools are getting computers, SmartBoards and broadband access.

Yet many schools teach students in a manner that has not changed much in 100 years.

How can we connect the students around the world in an effort to engage students and prepare them for the 21st century?

Students can access YouTube lectures about everything under the sun. Many of these are excellent resources.

Yet these are still in a transmission mode of teaching with someone talking and students listening.

We need to get the students talking... to each other. That's where some great learning will really take place.

I suspect this is nothing new... The places to do this are probably already in place somewhere...

So I hope all you experts out there can lead me to the places to make this happen for my students in rural Australia.
